American corn chowder

Ingredients:

1 Tbsp vegetable oil
2 Tbsp diced celery
2 Tbsp diced onion
2 Tbsp diced green pepper
1 package frozen whole kernel corn
1 peeled, diced, potatoes
2 Tbsp  chopped fresh parsley
1 C   water
salt & black pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
2 Tbsp flour
2 C low-fat milk
 
Cooking:

   1. Heat oil in a medium saucepan and add celery, onion, and green pepper and saute for 2 minutes.
   2. Add corn, potatoes, water, salt, pepper, and paprika. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to medium and cook, covered, about 10 minutes.
   3. Place 1/2 cup milk in a jar with tight fitting lid. Add flour and shake well.
   4. Add gradually to cooked vegetables and add remaining milk.
   5. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens.            6. Serve with with garnishing chopped fresh parsley.
