American recipe - Meatballs in Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

    1 lb lean ground beef
    1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
    1 egg, beaten
    1 Tbsp chopped onion
    1 Tbsp chopped parsley
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    1/8 tsp pepper
    1/2 6- to 30-oz jar spaghetti sauce

Directions

  1. Combine the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, parsley, garlic, and pepper, mixing lightly but thoroughly. Shape into twelve 1 1/2-inch meatballs.
  2. Brown the meatballs in a large nonstick skillet for 6 - 8 minutes, turning occasionally. Add the spaghetti sauce and reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 10 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
