225 g Ground beefPreparation:
Fry onion until tender in oil, drain and add to combination of ground meats, 1 egg and cooked rice. Mix well.
Add salt and pepper to taste. Form mixture into small balls.
Mix batter ingredients. Gently toss balls in seasoned flour in a bag, dip in batter, fry until golden and drain. Reserve.
To make the sauce, fry onions until tender, add sherry, vinegar, sugar, broth and pineapple juice. Cook for 6 minutes.
Add tomato paste and boil for 4 more minutes.
Process the pineapple, ginger and garlic with a little water in a blender and add to the sauce with chili pepper powder. Add more if desired.
Blend the arrowroot with more water until smooth and add to sauce.
Stir until clear and thick, adding more water if too thick.
Add meatballs to sauce.
Heat through before serving.
